We matched local student's fundraiser, raising $1,500 for Ecumenical Hunger Program

We matched local student Tyler Wong's pie baking fundraiser to help local families in need

Back in August when scrolling Facebook, we noticed one of our customers' posts -- her son Tyler, who loves to bake had come up with a fundraiser to raise money to help those in need in our community.

His plan was to bake and sell key lime pies every weekend, with proceeds from his sales going the Ecumenical Hunger Program, a local non-profit that helps families in crisis by providing them with food, clothing, and other resources.

We were so impressed with Tyler's initiative that we pledged to match his fundraiser 100% toward the same cause.

We checked in with Tyler, who recently completed his fundraiser - baking a total of 50 pies, and raising $750. How impressive is that?! We were honored to match his donation, helping to double the impact this thoughtful, hard-working young man is having in our community.

We asked Tyler if he plans on running his fundraiser again in the future. He told us it's likely, and that he may try out other recipes, too. We'll keep an eye out, and share updates with our community so that, together, we can amplify the positive difference Tyler is making in our community!
