CHALK ARTIST

Are you a talented chalk artist passionate about what you do? Our family-owned market specializing in fresh produce and specialty groceries, is looking for a chalkboard artist that will bring flare through chalk art to our family market to open soon in Palo Alto, CA.

This is a freelance role, with potential for ongoing part-time position

What you'll do: Responsibilities

  • Design, create / illustrate chalkboard art (physical, not digital) and typography art to be used throughout our store.

  • Work with management to promote our sales, brand and events

Who you are: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • You’re creative, with a knack for words / language

  • Proven skills in hand lettering and illustration

  • Strong hand lettering, illustration and graphic design skills.

  • Good problem solving skills, and ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to complete all tasks in a thorough and timely manner.

Desired work experience

  • At least 2 years experience with chalk art illustration / sign making

  • Must submit portfolio or examples of work for review
