RECIPE: ROSÉ FRENCH 75 Cocktail
We love rosé in the winter. In a season defined by a lull in energy (amplified by pandemic blues), we need a drink to lift us up from our sluggish tendencies.. A lovely, fruit-filled, tantalizingly acidic, assertive zing of energy. And that’s rosé!
So, allow us to share this pink take on the French 75, a classic Champagne cocktail. With just a few ingredients, and no infusions required, this sparkling concoction is perfect for when you need a drink to sip in a jiffy! It’s also friendly to advance preparation: Just multiply the first three ingredients and chill the strained drink. When ready to serve, divide into flutes and pour in the bubbles.
Ingredients
1½ ounces gin
¾ ounce fresh lemon juice
¾ ounce simple syrup
3 ounces sparkling rosé - Lucien Albrecht Cremant de Alsace Brut Rose
Lemon peel
Directions
In cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine gin, lemon juice and simple syrup. Shake well, then strain into flute. Top with sparkling rosé and stir. Twist lemon peel gently over top of glass to express essential oils. Garnish with peel.
Sip & enjoy!
