YOU’RE FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS, lenore cymes

When a strong pillar in our community is lost, the impact reverberates long and deep in all the hearts and minds they touched.

We are heartbroken about the recent loss of Lenore Cymes, a bright shining light of passion, love and energy in our community. We’re inspired by the widespread impact she had throughout our community. Lenore positively affected anything she touched, and The Market was certainly no exception.

We met Lenore in the days leading up to opening our doors in 2017. From that day forward, she was an unwavering source of support - a sounding board and source of insight and advice we could rely on as we integrated ourselves into the community. She was critical in helping us understand the pulse of the neighborhood through her sage advice, positive outlook and heartfelt care. She did this through a rare and consistent combination of deep passion, honesty and directness, and always a dose of lightheartedness and fun. She was proactive, warm, and approachable.

When COVID struck, in true Lenore fashion, she showed up at The Market one day, and insisted on helping us fill online orders for customers. After that day, she showed up day in and day out to help us ride out the influx in volume we were trying to respond to. And that’s what made Lenore such an inspiration - when she saw something she could influence positively, she went after it with relentlessness, consistency and care - and had a blast doing it!

We will grieve the loss of Lenore for a long time to come. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends and community members grieving this big loss. May you rest in the peace, love and light, Lenore Cymes. We feel so fortunate to have crossed paths and shared community impact with you. You will forever have a piece of our hearts.
